Wholesale Sales (Fund Buyer Business) - Intern/working student 2024 - Kronberg

Sales and Marketing

Internship/Working Student opportunity from June 1st 2024 until November 30th 2024.

Who we are

We’ve been helping clients plan and invest for their futures for over 50 years. From more than 25 locations around the world, we provide investment services and retirement expertise to everyone from central banks to private individuals.

We’re known for acting with integrity and thinking for the long-term. And across our organisation, we foster a welcoming, caring and inclusive culture where people feel respected, trusted and able to be themselves.

The team you’ll join

The German Wholesale business is responsible for covering discretionary portfolio management units of banks, family offices, wealth and investment managers as well as insurance firms.

What you’ll be doing

We support our clients in every aspect of their investment decisions with respect to tactical and strategic portfolio allocations across all assets classes including equities, fixed income, money market, private equity, private credit and real estate. As part of our academy, you’ll learn and grow every day – gaining the skills and knowledge you need to:

Investment Analyses:

Take initiative in analysing various internal investment strategies across a variety of asset classes. You will get the chance to work with industry relevant tools such as Morningstar to further benchmark internal strategies with competitor funds.

Sales Pitches:

Be a part of the front-office team and support colleagues in creating client pitches, preparing fund presentations and data as well as conducting independent research by liasing with international teams across Fidelity.

Data Analysis:

Work in a data-driven world and help us to navigate it: Ranging from fund to client data, you will be entrusted to maintain, optimize and analyse the underlying information to optimize efficiencies and digitize processes

Marketing:

Function as a link between the marketing department and support in organising offline, as well as online events, such as web seminars, mailing campaigns or roadshows for investment professionals.

How you’ll be supported

We don’t expect you to come straight in and know everything about what we do. As a working student whatever you’ve studied, we’ll help make sure you get the most out of your time with us.

You’ll start with a mini induction during which we’ll introduce you to asset management industry and our business. After that, there are many more ways to develop your skills as your progresses. All the while you’ll be learning on the job, working to clear goals and understanding your own potential.

The difference you’ll make:

As your skills and confidence grow, you’ll become more and more involved in making key decisions for our customers. You’ll help them invest and plan for the futures they want. You’ll provide invaluable support to your team, too.

What we’re looking for

It’s who you are that matters here, rather than what you studied. We look for working students (start date June 2024) who have a genuine interest in the financial services sector and the asset management industry, a commercial acumen and string analytical and organisational skills, who are curious, compassionate, eager to learn and ready to get stuck in. Creative thinking and attention to detail are important too. And, as we’re an international organisation, we’ll need you to speak German and English.

Our clients come from all walks of life and so do we. We are proud of our inclusive culture and encourage applications from the widest mix of talent, whatever your age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, social background and more.
