The Product function within Fidelity International brings together a multi-disciplinary practice focused on the future strategic direction and commercial development of the company.  The Product Legal team are engaged from the early stages of product development right through to product launch and placing product on the market swiftly and efficiently To achieve this, Product Legal, in collaboration with other teams around the world, supports the structuring and development of mutual fund solutions and produces legal documentation to exacting standards which meet the requirements of investors, regulators and other important stakeholders.. 

 

During the internship, you will support a specialist team of lawyers working around the world and will learn about different legal forms of mutual fund vehicle across various jurisdictions, as well as their offering and other contractual documentation which sustain the life of an investment vehicle. You will come to understand investing in a framework of sustainability, of client focus, and have an opportunity to experience legal work within the financial services community which forms a critical part of Ireland’s economy.

You’ll start with a welcome and an orientation, where you’ll meet your fellow interns and find out all about us and our work. Once the programme begins, you’ll learn every day – from the experts around you and through tackling real projects. Our focus will be on supporting you to gain experience and discover what kind of future you could build in our industry. 

 

Support is part of our culture, so you’ll have a buddy and a mentor to help you whenever you need. You’ll join a close-knit early careers community, with plenty of social and networking events to help you find your feet and feel at home. 

 

What we look for: 

 

We look for interns who are analytical, eager to learn and ready to take on a challenge. A genuine curiosity and interest in financial services and investment management is vital, as is a lively interest in our work and our industry. Creative thinking and attention to detail are important are important qualities. 

 

And, as we’re an international organisation, we’ll need you to speak English. 

 

We’ll also need you to: 

  • be studying towards a law degree or intend to practise law 
  • be graduating in 2025 or 2026 (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree)  
  • have the right to work in the Republic of Ireland at point of application. If you are currently on a Student Visa, this means you have the right to work in the Republic of Ireland

Please note that we recruit on a rolling basis, and so an early application is encouraged. Assessment centres will take place in May. 

 

Please note that there are two online assessments which you’ll need to complete by the time the window closes. They both take around 40 minutes to complete, so make sure you give yourself plenty of time.
