2023 Sixth Form Y13 Insight Day - 15 & 16 February

All Business Areas

Introduction

At Fidelity International, we see student talent as a vital part of the future of our business. Our Sixth Form Insight Day offers students a chance to discover the wide range of career opportunities on offer in a financial services firm!

This event is open to Year 13 students looking to gain a broad understanding of what we do as they begin thinking about their future career ambitions.

We will offer work experience opportunities later in the year for Year 11-12 students.

What you’ll be doing:

Throughout the day you’ll get the chance to explore the huge range of business functions at Fidelity, learn more about our industry-leading work and gain insights into our Early Careers programmes.

You’ll have the opportunity to meet with many colleagues at Fidelity, including managers, recruiters, graduates, and apprentices.  We’ll also make sure you have plenty of opportunities to build your professional networks and get your questions answered. You’ll also receive top tips on how to ace the Early Career assessment journey and maximise your employability skills.

This is a great way for you to learn about the industry and the variety of opportunities available to you!

Plus, those who attend will be given the opportunity to be fast-tracked to the video interview stage for a 2023 apprenticeship programme of their choice!

What we look for:

Places on our Sixth Form Experience Day are open to students studying all subjects at secondary education level. If you’re inquisitive and ambitious, this could be a great opportunity for you.

All we ask is that you are a current secondary school student completing a Further Education qualification (A-Levels, IB, etc.), have achieved GCSE English and Maths (4 and above) and have been based in the United Kingdom for 3+ years.

You'll also need to be available to join us on either Wednesday 15 February, or Thursday 16 February 2023.

  • WEDNESDAY 15 FEBRUARY will be a face-to-face day in our Kingswood Fields office, Surrey. You need to be able to transport yourself to the site and back independently. However, we will make a contribution to travel expenses for successful candidates. Approximate timings 10.00-16.00, to be confirmed closer to the event.
  • THURSDAY 16 FEBRUARY will be a virtual event. This enables you to take part, even if you can’t make it to Kingswood on 15 February, and it enables us to offer the event to more great students! Approximate timings 10.00-14.00, to be confirmed closer to the event.
  • Please indicate on your CV whether you can travel to Kingswood Fields on 15 February, otherwise you will only be considered for the 16 February date.

How to apply:

Please submit your application online, including your CV by Saturday 4 February at 11.55pm GMT.

You will also need to ensure you have time to complete our Explore Fidelity assessment by this deadline, which takes approximately 40 minutes. We encourage you to leave yourself plenty of time and apply early.

Successful applicants will then receive an invitation to confirm their place.

For any questions, you can reach us at earlycareersatfidelity@fil.com. The inbox is not monitored on public holidays or weekends. You can also email us to request a recording of a December 2022 webinar we ran for apprentices, giving our tips on how to prepare for the assessment process.

We look forward to welcoming you to Fidelity!
